Awesome....what part of cutting 15-20lbs 24-48hrs before a fight are ou missing?

Joe, you supposedly have trained fighters.

15-20 lbs 24 hrs before a fight is typical.
The method you use to get rod of the water is where Dolce comes in.

Joe, care to own yourself any further?

Coach, it does look like Chael had a hard cut. He looked depleted since Thursday and downed that water like a mofo right after stepping off the scale.

What's your prediction?

I'm hoping Sonnen wins but I think it's going to be a lot harder than it was the first time around. Silva wants to freaking kill him..lol.

It might be typical but it's not necessary. The only time I've had to deplete a fighter is when he took a fight for the money at the last minute. If a fighter knows when his fight is and it's far enough out, there should be absolutely no reason to deplete except for a few pounds if that. Lose fat not water. Only one fighter I've had to do that with other than that, I've never had to deplete a fighter, he would hit his weight at least 3 days before a fight and was stronger the day of the fight than he was the day he started his prep. Dolce has his way i have mine.

I'm not trolling. Just calling you on your slander of Dolce.

Very few, if any pro fighters cut only 5 lbs on weigh-in day.
You should know this.

There is a reason Chael didn't diet down all the way to 185. Dropping water is a strategy to the sport.  Edgar and a few others are an exception,  but most fighters who don't cut water, are at a severe weight disadvantage in the octagon.

You should know all thos Joe.

Especially since you work with pro's,  apparently.

Not slandering Dolce, I disagree with his methods. Dropping water was also a strategy in high school wrestling in the 50's through today but todays high school wrestling programs require hydration testing prior to a meet. Fighters who drop that much water are also at a strength AND conditioning disadvantage especially since muscle is 65-70% water..even when they start re-hydrating immediately after weigh-ins and the fight is the next night it's almost impossible to fully recover from that much trauma (yes, trauma) let alone regain full strength as well as his CNS. I don't want my fighters being any heavier than 10lbs over after weigh-in's to the time he steps in the octagon. 1. He's at full strength without suffering his conditioning because his CNS is still intact, he's quicker with more power because his body isn't all fucked up from the shock (yes, shock) of eating and dehydrating and digesting, IV's, etc.

Now, thank you for your honest reply. Fair enough.

I do agree that cutting 20+ lbs is ridiculous, but that is where Dolce comes in.

From all fighters accounts, he reduces the trauma that you are referring to.

Also, sometimes the weight advantage is better than the small disadvantages they feel from cutting.  It is up to the individual.

When someone flat out doesn't diet, and has to rush weigh loss (Rampage) is where a problem occurs. Chael was purposely 20lbs over.  It's not like he wasn't dieting in the weeks prior.

More than you would ever believe if I told you.

I proved my point with Joe, and all is good.

Feel free to try and prove me wrong.

Now, fuck off.

Yeah he does have that facial structure look of someone who does a ton of speed, probably just his genetics though.

Chael looks like he had to cut to much to make the weight. That could make him really weak with no endurance. Hope I'm wrong cause I haven't seen a more entertaining fighter in ages.

Agreed, I think its just in his genes. Or he partied really hard in his younger years.

Joe, I have a real life, outside of getbig.  I prefer to keep them seperate.

Very common practice. I have nothing to gain from mixing the two.

This can or can not take away from my credibility. That is up to you.

How does it hurt your credibility if no one knows who you are?
