This. The Olympics in Chicago would have been a total and absolute disaster from a fiscal, transportation, construction etc standpoint. Chicago would have been woefully unprepared in all phases, it would have been train wreck. Fuck "Da Mayor" Daley, his shitty family and the rest of those idiot Cook County politicians. They pushed so hard so they could line their pockets from the sale of the land they had gobbled up (to be sold if they got the Olympics as property values went up), crooked contracts and all the rest. The city would have been left with a bunch of shit it would never use and more debt.
Fuck that. I cheered when Chicago didn't get the Olympics as well. The people got a break, for once.
And another thing, Rep. Danny Davis can kiss my fucking ass. Just another low life piece of garbage that is bitching about losing the chance to line his pockets and fuck Illinois over. Instead of going on some hack-job network to bitch why don't you go back to Springfield and do your fucking job....well, even when he is there he doesn't do it anyways so I guess it's a wash.
