i am wondering about whether there is insulin being released even when you had no carbs.

or does the body not release any insulin when youre off carbs?

or does it release some amount whenever you eat?

how much is the difference if you have 1000cals of carbs at once compared to 1000cals of fats and protein, for example?
Contrary to popular bro science, carbs, protein, and fat can all directly stimulate an insulin response on their own. Depending on your carb source, consuming just carbs is supposed to stimulate 5-10x as much insulin compared to the other macros. Consuming all 3 together will obviously diminish the insulinogenic effect. This is just what I remember from a biochem class I took a few months ago...

There's always insulin release or glucose wouldn't enter your cells and you'd die..

Calories.  If you are eating like a normal human being, there is no issue here.
