On paper that makes sense. But in the real world, a lot people get together because they're afraid to be alone. Take a good look at some of the people reproducing. Walk into Walmart one day and look around. That's the real world whether we want to believe it or not. There are much more people like the Walmart people than the Tom Cruises of the world.

Those people at walmart have no assets, no wealth, are riding a golden age, when the age stops they won't magically come in power, they will become less important.
