Marco Rubio - on the issues
« on: July 25, 2012, 08:47:04 PM »
Repubs are in love with the guy.  but when you look past the speeches and "fresh" look, what do you get?

He has publicly said cap-and-trade is inevitable for America.
He supports the DREAM act and thinks illegals should get state tuition discounts.
He used to work as a UNION activist

Accused of spending $160,000 on GOP party credit card. (Jun 2012)
Repaid Florida GOP for overspending on party credit card. (Jul 2010)
Home purchases funded by very GOP-friendly bank boards. (Jul 2010)

Does NOT support pulling our troops for Afghanistan.

Now, these positions change, he's all over the map on a few of them.  He's just so new and inexperienced.  Wait for 2016.

Why are you so fucking infatuated with this guy? It's almost as creepy as your cock-lust for Obama. You're the only person on this board who ever talks about this guy. You looking for a little Cuban sausage?

I see it as 2008 all over again.  I see Rubio as the ever-anxious kid trying to have all the right answers at a job interview.  Like palin was.

I'd LOVE to see Romney choose a long-time consistent repub who has been on the national scene a little more than 15 or 17 months.  January 2011, Rubio took the oath.  it's now July 2012.  That's not long at all.  I really see Obama running with the "rubio is not prepared" and all the 2008 quotes saying Obama wasn't ready after 4 years in the senate, but Rubio is ready after 18 months in national office, right?

I just see 2008, when repubs cheered about the idiot palin pick over the more competent Romney.  then I saw them defend her as "oh, she's ready".  Then later, admit she was not.  I don't want to see that again.  I want romney to take a safe pick.  Rubio will have a confused, unsure moment and he'll be perceived as NOT READY.   Thune won't have one of those moments.

Also, BB has been talking about rubio nonstop on the VP 2012 thread.  I don't get why repubs want him.  He's inexperienced (less national experience than obama in 08) and he supports dream, hates the Arizona law.
