I don't like phrases such as,

"you hit the nail on the head".

"More power to yah".

"Amen, brother".

"Right on".

"You know what grinds my gears?"

how about "at the end of the day?"

it seems to be a quite popular phrase among the Brits

When a person uses the bail out phrase "you are missing the point" when their obviously is no point other than they want you to agree with them
