Olympics thread, live from London

But afore ye go: We now have live the Paralympics Opening Ceremony. It's all going on here, it's awesome. They've already done enough for awareness of disablement (all the tickets are sold out, 2m) and it's not even started yet. They're up to I for Italy wheeling them out. It's awesome.

News is that later on, after the Queen etc., they're handing out 60,000 apples and everyone in the stadium is going to take a bite at the same time. The biggest crunch ever...

They started with a massive big eye thing then Newton's Apple and the laws of gravity and athletes being airlifted down. It's really rather good.

We're up to the Japan convoy 9:52pm London

It's going to be USA v Britain on the injured ex-servicemen front, they'll be amazing.
