gayer then two guys holding hands. Jessus fucking christ I can already see the new TwinkieCop being a total failure. Watch what a small gaming studio from Montreal could come up with given a similar concept/

tl'dr a ex-cop gets ambushed and almost killed. He is saved when most of his body and internal organs gets replaced with machinery. You start the game when your character is fully "repaired" and you get to hunt-down the bitches who attacked you and killed your fiancee.
They should have make it into a movie, or at least do like Starship Troopers made it a series---have it on Showtime or HBO.

You can theoretically just go around with one battery, since that one regenerates on its own! lol   Yeah but I had a good amount of candy bars with me....  But the bulk of my inventory was guns and ammo, I tried to carry as much of those with me as possible since I played pretty aggressively!

I'm playing the DLC "The Missing Link" now!  Good stuff right there!

Thanks, Ghostbusters III (with the ghost holding up 3 fingers).

Don't get your hopes up. This project has gone back and forth with production confirmation at least a dozen times since 2008. Most of the time, it's due to Bill Murray being an asshole and tying up his share.

human part machine exoskeleton ( Robo wears a helmet Jensen doesn't )
Downtown Detroit setting
dystopian future (So have a lot of movies)
conspiracy theories for plot elements (So have a lot of movies)
corrupted government. (So have a lot of movies)
corrupted companies as villains (Umbrella corporation :-) )
cops:Adam was a cop. Alex is a cop.(kind of a stretch)
cyberpunk (I would link Deus ex more to blade runner and not robocop)
lose of love ones (Like every single action movie)
life-saving surgeries preformed on hero (So robocop ripped off the six million dollar man?)
ethics of said surgery as plot elements
Robocop gets his pistol, Adam gets a basic pistol with all the upgrades (Every action movie in the world has a pistol In it)
Adam's pilot friend dies. Robocop's partner dies in part 3. (No you can save the pilot if you are a good player like me and she helps you out later)
Deus Ex deals with people having to take a drug called Neuropozyne. Robocop 2 deals with people on the streets taking a drug called Nuke. (Fair enough there)
hero starts systematically hunting down the people who killed him.
high tech villains (Like any science fiction movie)

Seriously though you bring up good points ;D

The most relevant one being they were both saved by surgery which gave them cybernetic powers.  Sure Deus ex takes some elements from robocop, but its far fetched to say "its a complete rip off"

Here's a few more photos from the set of Robocop featuring Joel Kinnaman in full robotic gear and brandishing his signature weapon. There's also a great photo of Robocop sitting down and texting. I know it's just a shot inbetween takes, but it's still funny to see this high tech robot still texting like the rest of us. In the movie I'm sure he would have something like that already built in.

There's been a ton of complaints about Robocop's new costume, but I'm one of the few that thinks it looks pretty cool. I see more of an anime style influence than the Batman one everyone is talking about. I think it will look even better when we see it in action. Has anyone else warmed up to the costume? Or am I alone in thinking it's cool?

he movie is being directed by Jose Padilha and also stars Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams , Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Synopsis:

In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

As he sits astride his shiny black motorbike, its hard to tell where Robocop ends and his vehicle begins.

Fans got a first glimpse at the fighting machine's revamped transport as Joel Kinnaman filmed scenes for the remake of the classic action movie on Saturday.

The epic Robocop remake has been filming in Toronto, Canada for the past month.

Power: Joel Kinnaman rides a futuristic motorbike on the set of Robocop remake in Toronto on Saturday

The 32-year-old actor looked fierce in his futuristic all black body armour while perched on the powerful machine.

In the full-body fighting suit Robocop became one of the most iconic heroes of the Eighties.

As the eagerly anticipated film progresses in Toronto, set pictures from the Toronto shoot have flooded the media including those of Kinnaman wearing the Robocop suit as he storms onto various crime scenes.

The first Robocop made more than $54m, spawned two sequels, a television miniseries and even gathered Oscar nominations.

Speed: The sporty motorbike complimented lead Joel Kinnaman's body armour

In the remake Kinnaman plays Alex Murphy, the hero police office who is critically injured in the line of duty.

His life is saved using the latest robot technologies, creating a futuristic Robocop who struggles to adjust.

Speaking to MTV Kinnaman said: 'The RoboCop reboot is going to be a lot more human,' adding, 'the original is one of my favorite movies. I love it.

Hazard: The all black futuristic police bike could pose problems for night riding

'Of course, [director Paul Verhoeven] has that very special tone, and the reboot is not going to have that tone. It’s a re-imagination of it.

In the film Michael Keaton is set to play the role of Raymond Sellars, CEO of the corporation that builds RoboCop in the MGM/Columbia Pictures’ RoboCop remake of the 1987 movie.

Keaton joins previously announced Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and Abbie Cornish in the Jose Padilha-directed film.

That's because Judge Dredd is riding the bike with a manly posture while 2012-Robocrap looks like a twink :D

Too much aesthetics and limp-wristed swimmer-physique on the modern robo.

While original Robo had a powerlifter physique, this "modern" Robocrap is more of a Crossfitter.

Old Robo won't be allowed to enter Planet Fitness for example.

Sony Pictures Push ROBOCOP Back To 2014; ELYSIUM Also Delayed

Well, this is sure to come as disappointing news to fans who were looking forward to seeing Jose Padhila's take on RoboCop next summer. Neil Blomkamp's Elysium (which was originally set to be released on March 1st, 2013) is now taking its August 9th, 2013 release date, pushing back Jose Padilha's remake to February 7th, 2014. There's currently no word on WHY Sony Pictures made this decision, although one option is that they may convert it to 3D. Another is that those rumours about problems with the production were in fact correct!
