He released his 2011 returns....not 12 years like his father did....meaningless... ::)

Who cares, other than the lefties who'd rather discuss anything but Obama's disasters?

It's only one year, let's see the last 10 years. What's commical is the amount he donated,I'm sure he only did it cause he knew he was running. Also he didn't take the full deduction for it, I will bet you anything he took the full deductions the previous 10 years...

Nothing at all, Everyone should. So why do you think he didn't take the full deductions on his donations? That's my point it looks suspicious. Show me 10 years and they look the same as 2011, 1point Romney in my book.

There's little suspicious about it, other than an obsession by liberals to focus on that, instead of Obama's futility.

Now, if you saw Coach's thread, the lefties are bellyaching that Romney paid TOO MUCH in taxes and gave TOO MUCH to charity.

How cracked in the skull can they possibly be on this matter?

You're assuming that's not on money, already taxed.

I'm not assuming that at all

I don't give a rats ass if the income used for dividends is taxed before it's paid out to shareholders

It's still income to the individual receiving the dividend and it's taxed at a lower rate than income received for actually exchanging labor for money (i.e. - wages)

btw - last time I checked GE Corporation paid little or no taxes yet still paid a dividend so I'm sure there are many ways to avoid taxes while still paying out dividends

Apparently he "paid a little extra" to get to 14%

Or so I read online.

I don't really give a shit... I use every loophole I can too.

yep, he chose not to take all his legally eligible deductions in order to keep his tax rate above 13%

The funny thing is that he said his earlier in the year:

Quote
I don't pay more than are legally due and frankly if I had paid more than are legally due I don't think I'd be qualified to become president. I'd think people would want me to follow the law and pay only what the tax code requires.
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/transcript-david-muir-interview-mitt-romney/story?id=16881787&page=2#.UFzFtKRSRea

the odd part of this personally confessed "standard" for qualification to be POTUS not only eliminates himself but his father who famously chose to not take all the deductions that he could when the marginal tax rates were much higher (but also when we had many more loopholes)

If we take Romney at his word (yes, I know that is laughable) then he is not qualified to be POTUS

btw - after Romney loses in November there is nothing preventing him from filing an ammended return and getting all his legally eligible deductions so this is not another blatant and pathetic ploy just like the spray tan when talking to hispanic voters earlier this week

Both of them are full of pathetic ploys to pander to their intended audience. Calling one out is hypocritical and stupid.

The truth is that no one really cares if he paid 10%, 13% or 25%... They care that he paid his taxes as legally required... Which is fine.

If I were him, I would not even have paid one red cent more.

His tax rate is NOT his problem... It's the other shit he does that's fucking him over.

My point, is that they both do the same type of pathetic ploys, and yet you blame one while totally ignoring the other, which is hypocritical and stupid.
I personally hate both candidates.

how am I required to go search out what you believe would be an equivalent thing by Obama in order to comment on Romney

If you've got something stupid, weird, lame that Obama has done then make a thread (and I assume you will apply your own standard and include and equivalent thing by Romney) and I will comment on it

Romney's tax returns were in the news yesterday

why do you think I (as an individual) or even a new agency can't comment on them without also digging up something on Obama to comment about

????

Thats not what I'm saying. You're missing the whole point, that there is no difference between the two, but you never, ever criticize Obama but you're all over Romney's nuts about the same fucking things that Obama does.

I have criticized Obama MANY TIMES so when you say I "never ever criticize Obama" you are 100% wrong

if you think I'm criticizing Romney for the "same fucking things that Obama does" then you're 100% wrong too

I criticized Romney for not releasing his tax returns and Obama has released his for many years (I thin the last 10 or more).

I also don't agree for a second that there is no difference between Obama and Romney

I know that's a popular thing to say these days, I don't agree with it at all
