He does. But he is also about a foot closer to the judges after watching Phil's antics on video. Also, when you view the video floating around you see the real depth of Kai's back from a slight side angle.

as much as i was rooting for Kai. Phylis castrates Kai in the most muscular pose, Kai need to balloon them delts..his most muscular is very underwhelming

IMO - Phil has a more Aesthetically pleasing physique.  Sure Kai is actually bigger, but Heath just seemed to flow better!  Also some shots Phil was just more detailed (as was previously posted)

Never said he didn't beat Kai in the MM. I don't know if its Kai's structure, or his posing, but he just doesn't look as good to me.

those who see kai better are not comparing him to phil.. they are comparing him to his own previous versions!!.. kai presented a very good shape but was not enough to make him win and phil didnt present anything new but still was good enough to win!!..

1. kais back looks soft and watery in the rear lat spread while heaths is just as wide with a ton of detail.
2. kais stomach and particularly lower abs are wide and protruding while phil is almost pulling off a vacuum in most of his poses.
3. phil looks more muscular in the standing relaxed, side tricep, and front standing relaxed pose
4. phils muscles are more round and inflated than kais which sag and look deflated when he isnt flexing them.
