"The Mayor of Bodybuilding"

I must confess. I did have an experience with the Mayor of Bodybuilding. I attended the NY Pro a few years back and saw him there. It was my first bodybuilding contest I attended. I talked to him for a few minutes, but I did not know he was the "Mayor" of bodybuilding. He asked me if this was my first show I was attending and I said yeah. Then he said something like, "Oh, this guy is a virgin to bodybuilding shows" I guess bc it was my first one. Come to think of it, I nowadays wonder if there were implied, undertones to his statement "Oh, this guy is a virgin to bodybuilding shows." Maybe he wanted to do things to me that he experienced during his first bodybuilding show. I am glad to say that I was able to attend the show without any further incidences. Still, to this day, I am haunted by that statement, and do not think I will ever fully recover from being within inches of the "Mayor of Bodybuilding."

The Gayor is the kind of guy with a distant father who realized pretty early that his son wasn't "normal". Dad went out of his way to ignore and avoid his son and probably drank heavily. I can only imagine the dissappointment on the day dad asked his son what he was building with his Legos only to be met with the reply, "I'm building a town filled with muscle men and I'm the mayor."  Many dreams were shattered that day.
