I love how Dr Catlin said they reran the 1984 samples with current testing technology and plenty of 'em tested positive.

Sure a jet can go supersoinic and a crane can lift many tons, etc
For me it is very interesting to see how fast or powerful a man can be without machines.

Great doc. I like how they called the  '84 games the HGH Games.  The one dope tester saying how a bunch of positives came out of the track and field events but then they dissapeared.

That was a great 30 for 30. Accept for Brazilian and Calvin Smith, EVERY ONE OF THEM got busted for use or steroid distribution later.

** As the Golden Boy, Carl Lewis was protected and even he got caught once and blamed it on a "supplement."  ::)

Lewis did seem like an ass but I dig his "I know you don't like me but FUCK YOU." attitude  ;D

What's laughable is how they admitted near the end that despite Ben being juiced, he was off long enough before the games to not get detected and that Carl's buddy spike Ben's drink with Winny.  When asked, he said "Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't".  What the fuck?  That is a guilty plea if I ever saw one.  Carl in the end was the biggest cheater.

I fully disagree. Dude was in "Doping control" the testing room when Johnson was being tested. The drink that he was supposed to pour Winstrol in would have had to have been consumed at least an hour MINIMUM before Johnson pissed in the cup to affect the test results.  BJ was in the control room for 20 minutes.

Lewis' friend just wanted some attention/money.  "I have a secret. . . " type thing.   Johnson used his Winstrol right up to the race.

Johnson cut the Winny 30 days out.  His Hammy was bothering him so he stretched the usage a little too close.  But Winny use for a race is stupid.  Even his doc Francis said he wants his runners loose before the race, winny dries the joints out which would be real bad.  I thought that the IOC tested for elevated levels of test or estro, not specific steroids.  To come out and claim he was caught for Winny specifically was shady.  How often does anyone fail a steroid test with the specific type being named?  The only way you'd catch someone on Winny is specifically testing for it which means the IOC knew he was on Winny so someone ratted Johnson out.

i was a pretty good mid-distance runner in my day, but to my uncles it wasn't nothing special, coz like the would say to me... "anybody can become a good distance runner if they are dull enough to practice it, but sprinting takes talent and those guys are the real athletes"
