Ronnie Coleman at the time of his reign would be tier 1? Is he still tier 1 now? Or has he dropped to tier 2 or 3 because he no longer competes and is small? What if he kept his size but no longer competes, would his size keep him at tier 1? What about Kai Greene? I assume he is tier 1 now. Gunter definitely tier 1 still even though he doesnt compete-built, blonde hair, and good looking. Many factors are probably taken into account when deciding who falls where in the tier system--build, Mr. Olympia wins, height, age, race, etcThis is all very confusing to me.
OK, in all seriousness, it is for current bodybuilders who are competing in a contest. Tier One competitors are usually the top 15-20 bodybuilders in the world who compete in the Olympia. Tier Two are the ones ranked between 20-40. Tier Three are any others. So if someone like Ronnie Toney Freeman competes, he can be considered a Tier One competitor because he is in the top 15, whereas someone who just fills in the ranks and competes just because is a Tier Three competitor.
