Everyone on stage has a gut of some sorts bro, I'm just saying I haven't heard of any verifiable info that Palumbo is in fact dying. The dude has always been ugly and had a bad face/skin though. Add on to that his propensity for metro/homosexual grooming and hygiene practices and it just looks weird. But does it mean he's dying???
He certainly perfected and became iconic for the gut, but I agree, he's no longer alone in that department as it seems to be symptomatic of the high dose chemical cocktail used by BBers today (not even going to say that it's GH gut, because I think that's only part of the equation). And no, unlike the others perhaps, I don't think that he's about to keel over.

" genetics to stay healthy,genetics to respond,genetics,to maintain"etc,etc
ENOUGH with that nonsense...
In Bodybuilding there's only GOOD GENETICS for those who can look above average with or without help (drugs).

"wasting away" is what happens to almost any big bidybuilder when they are older and off of their mega doses. I just havent seen any concrete evidence that he is dying (unlike DA for example.)
Regarding the hepatic issues, aren't you the doctor that specializes in that field? If so, you're saying he absolutely is experiencing these pathologies just by how his face looks? I'm curious, because i thought people say that just because he's an ugly guy who is now skinny and getting old.
Don't some bodybuilders go soft (as in get fat) when they retire from the juice and excessive lifting? I doubt all former big dudes are wasting away unless they are also ill. Normally when one slows down on the exercise and doesn't drastically reduce their caloric intake, they add fat. Facial wasting is the absence of fat in certain areas of the body. Most evident of this condition is the face. I have fairly prominent cheek bones and have always carried very little facial and neck fat (no double chin, for example) and yet I don't have that hollow eyed, sunken cheek look that Dave has. Also, I don't pluck my eyebrows or wear mascara like he appears to do.

Agreed for the most part, EXCEPT that Dave has always been an extreme ECTOMORPH (I understand that somatotypes are a joke, but this is to make a point.) Dave was a collegiate distance runner. Even during his Prime years of food and drug abuse, anyone who knew him would say he always had shredded glutes and was vascular and striated everywhere. Naturally and off drugs, he would revert back to an aged version of what he was in his 20s, especially if he's on HRT which I'm sure he is because his Leydig cells must be fried. Dave is a genetic freak in that regard. I have a buddy that is the same way. He tries to bulk and will cram down 6K cals a day, but his metabolism is so crazy, it's like his body doesn't have the ability to store fat. He makes gains slower than me, but every lb he gains is a true lb of hard earned muscle that he won't lose til he quits lifting.

Seriously though, aren't you the liver specialist on here or am I confusing you with someone? I have been working in the field of hepatobiliary medicine for nearly 6 years, so while I hesitate to use the word expert....yes Nicorulez is a nephrologist There are also other doctors on this board, other than Dr. David Palumbo. One thing I can say for sure about Scumbo he is not healthy, there is something wrong w the guy...probably renal.

When I was a teenager I weighed 127 lbs. and stood 5'11" tall. After our family doctor put me on D-bol and testosterone shots once a week, I started gaining a little weight. I drank banana milkshakes with raw eggs and whole milk a couple of times a day. By the time I was 16 I managed to gain a little weight, weighing 144 lbs. My height hadn't changed. I continued to cycle the D-bol and testosterone shots until I was eighteen. At that point I weighed 180 lbs. As a young adult in my 20's and 30's my weight fluctuated anywhere from a low of 150 to a high of 220 lbs. when I was once again using D-bol and working out really heavy. Seems to me I am an ectomorph thanks to having two parents who were rails. However, as a senior citizen my metabolism has finally slowed down some. Although I have little fat on my face, even today, I do not appear to have facial wasting.
