I mean, shouldn't we all be expert electricians and water workers! Damn people needing help from other people who have been trained in these jobs. That damn 90-year old lady should know the intricacies of an electrical system. She has been alive for 90 years, and in all this time, she couldn't learn how to fix electrical problems? What the hell has she been doing with her time? Probably a damn liberal/democrat. Probably said to herself growing up, "I dont need to learn how to fix that wire. I will just call an electrician."

Now look at her? Can't use her strong American Will Power or strong American Mind to fix her damn electricity.

SCUM!!!

i wish this was a serious post cause i agree with everyword, by fuckin 50 years old you should know how to do every fucking thing

You will someday be surprised at how much you still didn't know at 50 when you get to be 60 and look back. As long as we have an open mind, we never stop learning new things. Heck, Falcon, I've learn stuff from your posts that I didn't previously know and I am way past 50 years of age as you know.

Maybe you just cannot comprehend the gravity of their situation because you are another scummy have-it-all cracker. They are African-American, whose ancestors were imported here to be sold as slaves by your kind. It is your duty to go above and beyond the call to help them because you owe them!

i dont owe anybody a fucking thing, it has zero to do with me or anyone else under 30 years old or my ancestors, so stfu you communist assjizz lover

Bush didnt even have fema on the ground for 3 days.  At least Obama was having people prepare as the storm got closer.  ALso, comparing NJ, NYC metros to NEW ORLEANS/MISS is laughable.  About 50 million people are in the area where this storm hit (800 miles wide) Katrina hit a smaller more unpopulated area.  of about 1.5 million

Dipshit I was in Manhattan 2 days ago.  You just hate anything and everything Obama does. Since the day he was elected. Your comparing Katrina to This storm... One hitting a populated city the other hitting one of the most densely populated areas on earth...

So then are you suggesting you have been everywhere the storm hit in New York? Or, are you just speaking of your borough or block?

How quickly did you think this would all be fixed like nothing ever happened? I think you and some other New Yorker's have unrealistic expectations. I suspect in these situations, people with medical emergencies are the first folks to get assistance. I did read where school was in session today, so at least the kids had a place to go to get warm.

How's your place for heat. Supposedly, there is a Nor'Easter headed your way.

Perhaps I should give my friends a call at FEMA and tell them to restore your power. I suspect they have purposely been ignoring you because they figured out that you have been trashing them on the Internet. I'll see if I can pull some stings for you. Can I tell them you said you were sorry for all the bad stuff you said about them?  ;D

8 million lost power.... 3-4 states underwater... and its ONLY 49 THOUSAND without power - that's very good for 4 days after the storm.

In florida, there were 49k without power in N ft myers, punta gorda....  and it was port charlotte that god the brunt of the storm.  Goodness knows way more than them lacked power 4 days afterwards.

For real, it sucks if you dont have power - i sympathize - but only 49k, just 4 days after an entire chunk of the nation was submerged, is very good response time actually.

Do I have government welfare cases? I am not aware of this. Truth be told, my friends and family are all pretty well off. I feel certain that none of them is on welfare.

However, when I was working for the school district some of my fellow employees were so underpaid or under-employed, they qualified for food stamps. In Oregon, classified school employees who are hourly and therefore off work during break periods can not qualify for unemployment during the summer or over the two week Christmas break, Interestingly enough, migrant workers are unemployment eligible when there are no crops to pick or other farm labor available.

wow, 33, you really still don't have power?   have the other areas around you picked up power yet?  Was there extensive underground flooding and/or wires knocked down in your area?

I would think they would get NYC back up sooner, and let those in the rural area wait longer for help?
