since the opening scenes, 45 minutes in, it hasn't been political at all.   All military/spy side of it.  firefights, bin laden compound, with xhibit and some other b-list celebrities.
It doesn't have to be overly political to still be a political propaganda flick. Obama is/has been using the Op as part of his re-election campaign. Besides, Im sure it won't even get into the politics, it'll make a big deal about "the call", which will probably happen right towards the end of the flick.

Im calling it.

I think it was all pretty simple.  Recon, Train and Destroy.  Not really much to learn at this point, especially since Matt Bissonnette already spilled all the beans in his book.
it was more than simple...for any DEVGRU unit it wasnt even eventful!

only 2 reasons its even noteworthy

1)the target(no shit)
2)location of target being on sovereign land without knowledge of our attack

other than that nothing worth mentioning...just another day

what next, making a movie out of a real event one week after it happened? People have a harder time to tell reality from fiction. It's about time a good real war teaches them.

You mean like put the U.S. six trillion further in debt after 4 years and still have a country worse off than it was in 2008?

Didn't like around 25 members of SEAL Team 6 die aboard a helicopter?  It was the largest number of casualties in a single day in Afghanistan suffered by the US military.  Seems pretty suspicious that somehow a rag-tag group of Taliban were able to shoot down this helicopter?  Who gave the order to move this many SEALs in a single helicopter above hostile territory?  Where are the conspiracy stories on this?

Just imagine all the millions of dollars in training and equipment these guys had.
yeah..fucking 12 year old shot down a big bird

Just another day for them. But huge political victory for the President.

As I said, I'd like to hear what the DEVGRU operators think of Obama using them as his political football.

That would probably shape society up in an entirely different way

...probably for the better.
The tactics being used by coalition forces are real and the injuries sustained by service men are real...But if the people(citizens/civilians) of the US actually experienced rationing of supplies, material, and goods like experienced in the '40's, we'd definitely shed some of that "Generation Nothing" title away.

Lol.
I don't think it matters what we say, Adonis has rationalized why it was ok for Obama to use the Op as a major part of his re-election campaign, allowing classified documents to be opened up to a civilian to make a movie that airs a week before the election, oh, and cant forget to mention Obama hinting that Osama Bin Laden is dead because of him at all of his rallies.

I`m more angry that he didn`t use it more actually.

If this had been a Republican accomplishment from a Republican President, we would never, ever, ever, ever heard the end of it.  Mt. Rushmore would have had a new face on it.  You and I both know this is true.

audi murphy did his part and got sucked in to the bullshit machine..

he is a huge example on how not to handle yourself outside of theatre..

look at guys like chris kyle and marcus luttrell..both exceptional warfighters who put their faces and voice very public..but why?

chris, and marcus earn millions for specop childrens funds..wounded warrior funds and so forth..they dont do it for themselves..

I think Libya turned out more than perfect.  No boots on the ground, Ghadaffi gone (although I kind of liked the guy, he was rather humorous), and all the African oil we can dream of. (jk on that last part)

the timing is suspect... the sunday before the election, really?

It's not suspect at all. It's a definite ploy to get votes.

So you're okay with not helping a group of Americans under attack in a foreign country on sovereign U.S. soil?

You're okay with a President and administration lying to the country to cover up their incompetence?

Shameful.....you of all people should appear to know better.
