In restrospect - my original assessment of romney was correct and the insider accounts of the campaign have me very cynical and believing it was all a ruse and setup from day one.
As in "The fix is in"...come on, do you really think that Romney was ever supposed to take it?
I mean, let's run the stiffest, blandest, most tepid, and unrelateable stuffed shirt we can find, have him callously speak out of both sides of his mouth, pander & grovel for votes like a whore, act like a pansy in the debates, ...and at the same time, we'll throw in a few others who gaffe so much and so profoundly, and so offensively they make Biden look like a poet?
What a way to energize the Democratic base, ...and make moderate Republicans either vote Dem, Libertarian, or stay home.
You were correct when you predicted a lot of people would be voting for Obama for reasons
other than his record. They voted for Obama because of Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Todd Akin, etc., etc., etc. not to mention the blind hatred they saw spewing from and being fostered by the right.
