And who would "his enemy" be?

Those intent on committing voter fraud?

Enemy, opposition....  I was using the term enemy in regards to the warrior not black panthers.  What I was meaning was the focus of the intent or to whom the act is directed.

Again, as a legitimate poll watcher, ...who would he be trying to intimidate?
...those looking to commit voter fraud?

Why in the fuck would a legitimate poll watcher show up in a black panther uniform? Hmm?

Can you believe that? Like my opinion on a 17 yr old murder case matters.

Dude needs to get over that 17 yr old case, just like he needs to get over a Black panther as a poll watcher.

Whomever they felt would be intimidated by his presense at the polls wearing a black panther costume.  Wearing the costume serves a purpose or he wouldn't have worn it, you can't deny that.   He intended to project an image and the question to ask yourself is, why did he wear it, what was the reason he wore it and to whom was that message directed?   This isn't politically motivated on my part.  It just seems like anyone with a basic understanding of psychology can see what was intended. He'll, I can give you a alternative read of the situation.  I'm surprised no on has.

those 2008 fools weren't charged.  The decision was made in Dec 2008.   Under Bush's DOJ.

This guy today - he had a camera all over him.  Smiling and saying hi.  He wasn't acting intimidating.   Anyone who is intimidated by a dude's clothes or skin color has their own issues to deal with.  I'm guessing they wouldn't be scared of a 130 pound twink white dude in that uniform, huh?

Ding ding ding. A perfectly reasonable alternative.

I think a white guy dressed as a Black Panther would get laughed at, yes.

I think a valid point, is if you were a black person headed to vote for Obama in a predominately pro-Romney area, and the KKK were standing out front, that would be vote intimidation. The same holds true in reverse, it can sway a persons decision to vote.

Maybe he felt he'd be in danger of being arrested if he appeared in ordinary street clothing. ???

Sorry, I didn't realize I had to hold your hand and guide you through  this.  I'll type a little slower for you.

You have been trumpeting the new Panthers as a group that has no former ties to the old and should not be considered intimidating.  I pointed out that they were in the press, accused of voter intimidation only four years ago.  You called that point a fail since the DoJ dismissed the charges (they actually did not dismiss all of them, but why bother with facts).   Since you feels the dismissal proves innocence, I referred to another popular case  where an accused person was found innocent to see if you believe it.

Yes.  There are people who are intimated by black men in uniform, right or wrong.  I assume that's why he's there, until someone provides are tangible alternative to consider.

you are such a fag

just because you're intimidated by a sight of a black man does not mean that everyone feels the same way

this guy is doing nothing wrong and has the same right to be a poll watcher (and why anyone would want to spend all day doing that I have no idea) as anyone else..... including you

agreed...EPIC terror at seeing a black man on the street

Read the thread before you take one piece out of context.  Then, if you can actually comprehend the overall point, tell me what you disagree with.
