Women of equal edjucation and experience actually get paid slightly more than their male counterparts.  The problem is that the vast majority of women don't have equal edjucation and experience.  Men are much more likely to work ungodly amounts of hours and pursue career edjucation because they don't have to give birth to children and raise them.  A huge amount of women in the workplace are mothers who work part time at hair and nail salons and places like that.  Not at all the same as the men in the workplace. 

To say that women don't get equal pay, as Democrats do, is a total sham.  It doesn't take anything else into consideration than their gender which I just showed isn't an apples to apples comparison.  It a convenient tactic to get women riled up and make them fell like they are being opressed and that is a sure way to get someone to vote Democrat.

Very true. In my field, private practices avoid hiring women like the plague, particularly if they are younger with kids. You just don't get the same return as you'll get out of a man because women have so many competing issues at home.  I can remember as a resident a female co-resident getting pregnant and literally taking off for 4 months by exploiting all of the various laws regarding childbirth (baby bonding time, etc.). The rest of us had to pick up her slack, which is irritating to say the least. Don't think that stuff doesn't make employers think twice about hiring women. And the women who don't want or have kids are usually ugly broads with a chip on their shoulder, and you don't want to work with those either.

That statistic is very misleading (women earn 77cents for every dollar a man earns)...they look at profession only, not the specific job and duties.  Men often take the jobs in the same profession that have more travel, evenings, weekends, leadership and management roles and they are more competitive with asking for raises and additional duties to make more $.  That makes up a very large % of the difference.  I hate these government statistics that are too general and liberals go nuts with this statistic without delving into the details.

Companies aren't paying white men more out of the goodness of their heart, or because we're all part of some secret club (we are).
