Grin..have to ask and give benefit before doubt,still great lift.leg press is easily biggest ego inflator exercise ,I see guys load it 9/10 plates per side and bend there knees 1/4 inch and do 8 and come off machine limping ,i'm like  Roll Eyes...try doing 5 plates per side knees to chest 20 reps then partner goes then u hop back in ,after 3 x around your toast.

Yea I hate that too....I see kids loading up the bench and doing half reps, squats that look like good mornings and rows that look like DLs. Last night during arms some fat teenager was doing half squats with 95 lbs grunting like he was getting fucked by a horse or something. My little wife comes in puts 135 on the bar and does 10 perfect below parallel reps while I stared at the kid. My wife secretly enjoyed it!

I was depressed all day. Something needs to change and change fast. I cannot go on like this. It sucks.

My day: slept until 11:00 a.m. because there was no real reason to get out of bed. Got up, showered, weighed myself, ate breakfast and then sat down at the computer to write a couple of articles I needed to get in today. Watched my wife sleeping in the living room most of the day and wonder if this was me in the future. my knee was okay, not great. The sciatica was acting up making it difficult for me to walk. Like a cripple, I brought in the empty garbage cans after the trash was picked up, limped down the driveway to pick up the mail, limped down the driveway to get the paper. I could go on but writing this is depressing me even more.

maybe you and your wife should just spur of the Moment do something totally new. go see something you always dreamed about as a kid... maybe you do not Need to travel far. I have always wanted to travel to Japan. Train in Yoshinkan Aikido or Daito Ryu Aiki Jutsu. meet a sweet Little Japanese woman introduce me to the secrets of the orient Grin

Good idea. Japan seems a little far from where we live though, maybe the coast would be better.

I actually hit the gym yesterday. I used the stationary bike with little resistance (low gear) for about 20 minutes. Did some seated Nautilus leg curls and 100 Nautilus leg extensions. I've been doing these at home weight free. On the Nautilus I used 20 lbs. resistance. I felt pretty good after this wimpy workout. I may work some upper body stuff today and ride the stationary bike some again. It feels good just going to the gym and doing something even if it isn't much. I was surprised that I weighed 205 lbs. which is not far off from what I weighed before the knee surgery. Of course, I have been eating light to make up for the lack of exercise.

rope pushdown hands apart 20 reps rope pushdown hands together 20 reps reverse ez bar pushdown 20 reps
ez bar pushdown 20 reps overhead rope extension 20 reps....whole thing 2X

ladder pushups  and stretch on smith machine 2 sets

overhead rope extensions 2 sets

alternate DB curls 30/35/40/45
machine preacher curls 3 sets
sitting on the floor cable curls 3 sets....trouble getting up after Grin
