Last week we had really cold weather for our area. This week it has really warmed up. Unfortunately, with the warmer weather we also get rain. So it is about 42 degrees Fahrenheit, windy and wet right now. The dogs and I prefer cold and dry to warmer and wet.....but that is what you get when you live in the Pacific Northwest.

You got it. Although tonight we are taking it easy with cooking; we are having Marie Callender's chicken pot pies. -Pretty simple fix....freezer to oven to plate to mouth to stomach. Last night my wife fixed a great pork stew. It had orange segments and cranberries in it along with some savory foods like onions and garlic. It was a nice combination of sweet and savory. She served it with white rice and steamed miniature green beans. For desert we had coconut crisps.

Feeling better, made it through a good workout yesterday - bench, bb rows, clean and press, curls & hammer curls. Knocked off work tonight at 5 so I could make it to boxing class and had a real good workout there. Whatever cold/cough I had seems to have finally worked its way out of my system and I have some good energy coming back. Being sick and run down is miserable. Making pan seared chicken breast with bbq sauce over romaine lettuce with a little caesar dressing tonight, no more pizza for a while.

Good to see that you are in the recovery of your virus/flu/cold and getting back to training with lots of energy.

I think my ear is a bit better. It still feels weird though but I have managed to train without it getting worse. I am just having a issue with this heat. I had to run around today with my daughter alot in the car and the heat is unbearable. I was a ball of sweat. I really want to walk outside tonight but the heat has been stopping me the past few days but I want to get back to my routine. I think I might just have to put my water bottle in the freezer and get the water frozen and just do it. I will probably cry though. I might jump in the pond around the track and not give a fuck that a croc lives in there. I think I am getting crazy from this heatwave. I will take a knife with me like crocodile dundee.

Lol.. Booty lives in a pretty wild part of the country (far north queensland) where theres warm weather year round and extremely tropical/stormy at this time of the year which lends itself to the kinda places Crocs hangout. Koalas are found more or less all over the country except obviously in the centre of the big cities and built up suburbia.

Yes it's wild up here Alex. I can pretty much handle the wildlife and getting up to baby snakes in my kitchen is pretty much the norm now...so much that the last one I saved and put back in the garden. I couldn't believe that the snake actually pretended to play dead when I touched it. I felt sorry for it and ended saving the little guy. I must be going soft.

Remember how I said that I hurt it during my leg workout the other day? My ears are connected to my nose...I think I over strained or something and hurt something in there. It's not an ear ache but a different kind of discomfort. And yes this weather and heat is normal for this time of the year, although this year aussie has had some of the highest recorded heat waves ever.

I have never heard of a Koala biting you. They are always really sleepy from eating gum leaves all day. They just lay in your arms. I love koalas they are so sweet and soft to touch. Nicer than a snake anyday.

I don't think Koalas bite, these days (I am pretty sure) they've stopped allowing people at the zoo from petting them - something them being protected and germs risking their health. Japanese tourists seem to have gotten around that issue by bribing the handlers lol
