Well it was a program about physical attraction, I don't think many people would pick a fat person over an athletic one if they were asked to make a choice on a strictly physical basis. That was not the point 
It's not of prime importance because women don't judge that physically. A fatter man that says the right things is going to take her home over the V-torso bubble ass man that doesn't know the right things to say any day. No contest.
I'm not saying quit training and dieting. But many people here, just as on other BB boards and gyms worldwide, are a bit wrong in their assumption that women care much (if at all) about the things they are there for.
Like Getbig's finest Bay knows full well, it's MEN that care about all this stuff.
Take me personally, I'm 6 3 and I used to be maybe 130 lbs. I had a lot more success with the women back then. The bigger and leaner I became, the less women were interested, and the more men started hitting on me.
Worry about the physique-stuff only if you really want to for yourself and/or want to attract homosexuals. Otherwise, forget about it 
This is total bs. Most women will not choose a fat guy that "knows how to talk" over a guy that looks good.
Especially since women are more economically independent, they can afford to choose mates based strictly on the superficial as men do. I know a guy that is fat, but makes a lot of money, good looking face, funny, witty, but can't get laid to save his life. As women get older way you're saying becomes somewhat more true -- provided the women is NOT financially independent. Women and men are not as different as you think in that regard.
And there was a survey a while back done on various dating sites and they discovered that height was selected for OVER money and everything else. Guys that were tall (not freakishly) got the most Hookups
