Iron Maiden stills sells out every show they play They play to what works... Small 5000 or so seat places in the US and then stadiums in the rest of the world.

Iron Maiden stills sells out every show they play Iron Maiden could be considered one of the all-time greats if you are a fan of metal that is. Unlike Def Leppard they were a true part of the "new wave of British heavy metal" movement of the late 70s. Only some of their music appeals to me though. They lack variation in my view, same with AC/DC. Something people always forget about Def Leppard is they've had very few line-up changes in the 35 years that they've been together. They had a couple of line-up changes early on in their career, but no line-up changes at all since Campbell joined in 1992. How many bands can stay together longer than 5 years these days? I say the X Factor is to blame for it for producing short lived-crap every single year. Simon Bowell ought to be shot.

This really sounds like a boy band like Groink describes them. LOL P.S. Every Def Leppard gig I've been to in my country (UK) the audiences have been 50% male and 50% female. Man are you such a fucking dolt, this is the most generic post grunge music you can get. All the hair metal bands tried that shit.

What the critics say. Some quotes from the Pyromania (Deluxe Edition) webisode:
On the album:
“The true measure of the success of Pyromania is that it was selling a hundred thousand copies a week in America alone. Truly mind boggling when you think about how many albums that really is”.
Paul Elliott ‘Mojo, Classic Rock, Q’
“The production was state of the art and it actually set the tone for what was to happen throughout the 80s. I think the album was the blueprint for so much especially in America in terms of how important production was”.
Malcolm Dome ‘Total Rock’
On the band:
“I said once that if there was any band or any rock band that deserves to be known as heroes it’s Def Leppard”.
Paul Elliott ‘Mojo, Classic Rock, Q’
"Without Def Leppard I think British music and global music in rock terms would be so much poorer”.
Malcolm Dome ‘Total Rock’
Groink and RAtard can stick the above comments in their pipes and smoke them.
