now that i will become a big time GB poster and all that, plus a recent promotion, have lead me to believe i need to get some nice dress shoes
any opinions on the $500 aldens ? classy guys in the forum please chime in
should i go for a balmoral, blucher...
i'd get em but first buy a pair of gucci underpants on sale for 350 dollars saw them at king of prussia mall, before they threw me out of the store for laughing |

Your ass used to be beautiful". (ignorants see jackie brown) Their work has been sloppy for a while now. Some of their work is contracted out even outside of the factory in Marche. Its not as hand-crafted as you think, even the limited edition. One shoe will see many hands and will not be the work of just one or two. Their limited line is not the best by the way. You can obtain a bespoke if you are willing to pay a bit more, but the quality will not be much different at all. (depending on what you ask for). They do use aniline for most of their stuff, but their recent dye and polish jobs as seen on the current limited editions, are meant to cover for lack of grain that you would find in a JM Weston or Stefano Bemer. (where Daniel Day Lewis apprenticed apprenticed for 8 months a few years back) But, if thats what you like, who am I to convince you differently. |
