Great movie.  Huge fan of all other LOTR movies and really enjoyed this one as well.  Had a blast throughout the entire movie.  Good humor during the slower parts and great action at other times.   It might have taken an hour to get started but during that first hour i was laughing up a storm and enjoying the dwarf dialog and random silliness.

Peter Jackson Talks About His Cameo In THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

Fans of Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy will be well aware of the fact that the director cameos in each of the three films. But what about The Hobbit: AUJ, were you able to spot Jackson in glorious 48fps?

Reportedly, Jackson cameos as one of the dwarves fleeing from Smaug early on in the film. "I didn't have a great deal of choice," he explains. "There weren't any human characters in this film, and there weren't any hobbit roles I could play... and I'm not an elf.
