Couple things

hey guys, I am just fiddling about with my split last couple weeks to find good combo. I had been doin
MON=shoulders/back/traps
WED=legs
FRI=chest/arms.

I felt that was ok, but i kinda felt my tri's were suffering working them after chest (stopped doing CGBP)
In the past i have done MON=chest/back
WED=legs
FRI=shoulder/arms.
I think that worked aswell but at that time i think i didnt work shoulders hard enough. (i have deliberately been working shoulders on mondays to make sure they get worked hard early). I feel i work shoulder/arms well together, so i am thinking of either going back to the second split above
OR
doing MON=shoulders/arms
WED=legs
FRI= chest/back traps????

What you guys think????
I have rugby tue/thur/sat. so would prefer to only be in gym on monday/wednesday and friday, so i can really hit muscles hard without over training my body!!

How are your strength if you compare it to how you did back in April/May?

I think i am stronger on most lifts, iv changed order in couple plaes so things that were getting done 1st are now sometimes 3rd etc, but all in all my strength has gone up.why?

So which split do u think (rememeber im working in gym 3 times a week).

AND was wandering if you think moving deads (normal) to leg day from back day would be good idea, only reason for this is i could then put weighted hypers in there place on back day+my legs get worked pretty good when deadlifting anyway????

id say that if ur getting stronger with ur current routin, why change it up? keep going till u hit a platue and then think of changing things up, u kinow ur body better than any of us so stick to what works and an answer to ur dead lift question is id keep it on back day because it is a great way to improve the lower back and overall strenght. good luck.

Well i am going to have to make some sort of a change as my truceps are suffering by working them with chest!?
I thought my arms were a bit more tricep dominant but not sure now.ahhh

I am either goijg to use MON=shoulder/arms
WED=legs
FRI=chest/back/traps

OR

MON=chest/back traps
WED=legs
FRI=shoulders/arms????

Davie, it looks like both of those are more or less the same routine....i'd throw in legs on saturday too.

Ah but spot the difference lol. the only difference is i swap shoulders from monday to friday and same with chest/back. Any opinions on which u think should be in each position????

Iv got rugby on saturday so gotta hit legs hard once a week.

i wouldnt hit legs twice a wk even if u didnt have rugby on sat. i like the second routin better in my opinion. this will help with more explosive moves to help out rugby. then by the end of the wk, hit those shoulders and arms with intensity and hard. good luck and keep us posted!

Think il shoot with that,used to do that but felt shoulders suffered, i think it was because i wasnt working them hard enough or with enough conviction,thats all changed.

ALSO guys someone mentioned to me that doing skullcrushers on a slight incline (incline skullcrushers), gives tri's a better stretch????Any truth to the rumour, i do them on flat bench when i do them??!!
