Winter was always the time when Grandpa would pull out that old axe of his, with the Pecan Handle and show us how to chop wood. He would stand behind us wearing ear muffs, and with both of our sets of hands on the handle, proceed to split the fat-lighter. The faster you became at it, the more Grandpa would encourage you. "Harder, Faster, Thattaboy!". I still get a tingle and chills whenever I smell hickory wood.
No snow around here. Greetings from paradise in December!
Nothing funnier than having a Fijian relieve you on sentry at 3 in the morning in January.Never seen anyone look so threaders.
Bet you do not see this anymore in the R Signals,, good old Liney Belt. still got mine
Nah, the liney belt has disappeared completely here.Ended up getting shitfaced in the support sqn block after Christmas dinner last week. The liney's were absolute creatures: drinking pints of piss, pissing off fire escapes on to eachother, necking eachother, getting homemade shit tats, filling in chefs...Absolute carnage.
not a big fan of winter but my dog loves it.
How much coin are you making as the mall Santa Claus? Post the rest of the uniform please.
cheapest way to get school girls to sit on your lap
To be honest, I live in st john's the weather is shit year round. It's the worst part of british weather combined with the worst part of canadian weather. So the winter aspect only has a small bit to do with it. I'm actually pretty excited just to get the fuck out of here. You know your hard up when toronto seems like some tropical paradise.
Seriously. Were getting a foot of snow tonight no exaggeration. I haven't done anything worth remembering in months. And now I'm broke trapped in winter, trying to relocate. For the first time in a while I realized my life is pretty awsome. Atleast when it ain't winter. Seriously does anyone here actually like winter?
do they lay anymore Line now? we layed loads of Quad and Lightweight on exercise. Some guys dyed their belt Ox blood but i liked Black. Used to be Combat Lineman then it was Driver Lineman...now its not even Lineman....
You bastard! Lol. Lauderdale was awesome from Oct to April!
I know what you mean...i remember running around Catterick Garrison and out on the moors...was always shit cold. Remember on Catterick moors we had two Gurkhas with us and they really sufferd from the cold wind and rain... 3am laying tel cables on the moors in heavy rain and wind ..not fun..
