Obama the hypocritical president.
« on: December 17, 2012, 07:39:27 AM »
Obama wants to raise taxes on higher middle class families and keeps on talking about curbing spending.  But then I am hearing about his inauguration where they estimate about two million people will attend.  What's the cost for something like that?  $50-$100 million?

So he wants families to pay $2000 more in taxes next year, so basically anywhere from 25000-50000 families are footing the bill for this shit.

It's his second term.  Does he need such a large ceremony?  Couldn't he just do it on the White House lawn with a couple hundred people?  Is this guy the biggest attention whore out there?

Why not be a real fucking man Obama and instead tell the American people that instead of spending all that money on your ceremony that you will instead have a small one and take that money to hire a few thousand security guards to monitor schools across the country.  Why not put that money to real use.

Fucking asshole.

They've been doing it for all of history and will continue to do so.

The media keeps calling it a "historic" inauguration.  I guess they forgot he won 4 years ago.

CEO salaries arent paid for by taxing ppl are they?

::)

They are paid by a private company who is free to do whatever they want within the law and are only responsible to their shareholders.

The govt is responsible to everyone of us...

Quit defending this bloated, inefficient and wasteful govt and start yelling for spending cuts like you rant and rave for higher taxes.

Spending cuts have a much greater impact on debt reduction.....

The CEO and the company he works for is paid because they sell a service, much like the government.

Do you invest in the company's stock? No? Then shut the fuck up.

Do you contribute to the society? No? Then shut the fuck up.

Do you? You don't work and you talk to yourself on Getbig all day.

Again, if you have a problem with the salary for the CEO of a publicly traded company then buy stock and do something about it. Until then, stop crying about being poor (all due to your own lack of work ethic and intelligence).

Im not poor.

Ill bet you i make more than you. Even if my taxes are way higher.

The thread starter was crying over Obama i compared to CEO's. You read what you want to read it seems.

You can think whatever you want. You posed as a multi-millionaire, ex special forces globetrotter. Fact of the matter is that you're dyslexic, you can't spell and you're an all around moron. You're also a gimmick but for some reason they've let you fly on here.

Sell a service, NOT FORCE A SERVICE ON PPL!!!

that is a HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!

Again you have the option of being a patron of a certain business, what options do we have with the govt?

1 and only 1 bend over and take up the ass....

now quit your whinning about higher taxes and start ranting and raving about something that will actually make a difference in the debt, SPENDING CUTS!!!!

Spending cuts should be the first option explored, well in advance of any tax increases.  Otherwise, tax increases only fuel the furnace of big Government.

yea operating expenses, do you even know what operating expenses are????

Maybe thats b/c we have morons that buy into their propaganda hook line and sinker, you looked into a mirror lately?

If everyone got behind the idea of significant spending cuts these morons would start worrying about their jobs and perhaps do something about it.

Unfortunately even in the face of cold hard facts you will continue to toe your party's line and spew their ignorant propaganda.

Nobody is gonna cut spending.

The GOP loves wars and the dem like healthcare and other programs.

Bush could have made spending cuts but he increased them and gave tax breaks for whatever was left.

I don't blame Obama per se for the cost of inauguration ceremonies; they have gotten more and more illustrious and more and more expensive over time; the trend line has been clear for a while. Heck, the cost for providing security at the event  has probably at least quadrupled. It's just one more event that has become hyped as the 24-hours news networks struggle to fill the airwaves with content (and I use the term very loosely).

With that said, it would be nice to see our elected leaders take a step back and say "well, at this difficult time, maybe we can cut back on the pomp and circumstance and take a little off the hors d'oeuvre bill." Why can't Obama be sworn in by Roberts in the Oval Office, in the presence of his family, a few friends, a handful of the members of Congress and a small television crew?
