He died of heart problem, maybe had pre-existing stuff that hormones didn't exactly help, but the poster boy for abuse of orals and steroids overall, Pete Grimko is still alive after decades of retirement, so that says something for harmful effects of anabolics. Some people will die young regardless of wether they engage in healthy or harmful lifestyles, |

yeah. Wasnt sure how he died. I just remember all the talk around the gym about deferro pissing blood but maybe it was just talk Not when he died but back in the early eighties I mean |

yeah. I think if I remember right it was the show in Atlantic city or New York. Makawy won. Deferro second n Haney third. It may have been haneys first pro show though |

always wondered why he didn`t do the 83 Olympia,seeing as how he beat Haney earlier in the year and Haney took 3rd in the olympia,then as you mentioned he came to london,he did the grand prix,but only turned up for the morning pre-judging and didn`t turn up for the night time show. |
