For months or years?
Have any of you read "One Second After" about a post EMP nuke strike over the U.S. and the deterioration of society without working electricity/electronics, lack of mobility and communications, loss of access to normal flow of food and medical supplies etc.

haha honestly, those who have the ability to provide either through producing their own or taking others would survive the longest. I think the knowledge is well known enough to be able to reproduce the majority of electricity at least the most of it. EMP's if I understand them correclty disable current electronics but not the basis of electricity and b/c of that and the fact that the majority of ppl know how electricity works they will reproduce it at least to some extent. Outside of a catestrophic end of days scenario I think life would return to normal fairly quickly with in 50-100 years. Those will the means knowledge, guns, whatever the barter/currency will become the new ruling class until things stabilize. Woo, would be super screwed  but dont worry buddy Ill be there to protect you with all of my evil guns... |
