I would take 5 million in cash and for 35 points the girl, the full kitchen (you can make anything you want and it's a pasttime) and the tv with all the channels (there's got to be some listaneble music on there so I don't need the surround system plus it's something to talk about with the girl [yeah right]). And then the doctor and the roofwindow (in a basement?) could be nice additions to that.

Some of it is useless. WTF you need a gun for? You are not leaving the basement in 10 years. What you gonna rob yourself or something? And the tv with channels... you can get that from the internet. I would combine some items. The computer but only with the internet and a 60" HD monitor included. (Hey you can pick your parts) The gourmet chef could cook you McDs crap if you wanted it, even better. Weight room is a must. Only if I could pick the equipment going into it. Which would include a custom built Phelps swim spa. http://michaelphelpsswimspa.com/I'm still torn on the pet issue. I would love one but wouldn't want to sentence it to it's whole life in a basement.

Ummm? With a gun you could cuddle it, clean it, hold it, talk to it. It won't need food, it won't need a place to sleep, it won't whine, it won't complain, it won't use air, it will always be there for you. need I say more? Some of it is useless. If there is no broad, gotta have a pet. You'd go mad from solitary confinement before the 10 years. You'd probably have a very unhealthy relationships with dogs though. i'd go mad, am not getting down with no dog.

(i) A hot, horny 18 year old -- 18pts
(ii) Money upfront + access to stock market -- 7pts
(iii) Microwave + microwave meals -- 2pts
(iv) Garden w/ greenhouse -- 2pts
(v) Gun w/ 3 bullets -- 1pt
Reasoning on items I picked: I will live as an ascetic, meditating in my garden for hours on end. I will have my sexual needs met as necessary (I guess I will be a quasi-ascetic) and will have basic sustenance in the form of microwavable food -- much of which is consumable even if the microwave breaks. I will acquire my money upfront and immediately invest it, for otherwise the $10mil's value is really only $4,631,934 (assuming an average of 3% inflation and a 5% average return that could have been achieved over the decade in question), less than half of what I will be receiving upfront. The gun is for when the woman hits the wall looks wise or if my plan collapses in on itself and I begin going insane.
Reasoning on items I eschewed: The material items, e.g., a pool table or books, shouldn't be necessary due to my aesthetic life. The healthcare would probably be superfluous since I am young (23) and most people from 18-35 (and thus from 23-33, my period of internment) tend not to have significant health problems which require treatment. I can maintain a modicum of fitness without any equipment, and I hardly use my cellphone as is. Finally, I'll be 33 when I leave, meaning I will probably not be too old to launch an intensive course of study to rehabilitate the majority of specialized brain function I lost over the course of the decade.
