I was a kid when it happened, but my dad had just bought me a gun, and he had to hand it in.

My generation never had the right to own guns with mags, so it doesn't come up much in discussion.  I have friends with single shot weapons tho and they are furious at the thought of having those taken away - under stricter laws - that some have suggested.  Bear in mind we were not a culture that carried disclosed weapons in the street- all guns were kept at home.

I haven't always been here.  But in my time I've seen the quality of socialized care eroded in order to herd people toward insurance.  You can't find a bulk billing doctor to save your ass nowadays.  Once it's canceled, it's gonna get ugly.  Ask a yank how much they pay for health, or the cost of a hospital stay, the level of care the uninsured receive, etc.

They are herding people towards private insurance because the socialist system is collapsing.  The working taxpayers funds are no longer enough to maintain it in a political culture of incompetence and gross waste.

Bulk billing is a bit different.  If you have private insurance you can claim it back anyway.  Even if you don't have private I think you can claim most of it back.

But for any sort of serious illness, it has always been much better to have private health cover.

Are you able to make a single post without homosexual references! Personally, I don't have anything against homosexuals, I am very secure in my heterosexuality, but dealing with homosexuals in the closet is definitely frustrating!  Sadly their are quite a few getbiggers who are terrible at hiding in the closet, the pressure on the unconscious to reveal themselves is unbearable and evident in the majority of their posts!  In the past I have known men who acted in this way and eventually came out with some encouragement, sometime a persons homosexuality is evident to all but the person in the closet.
