Getbig!

« on: February 14, 2013, 04:46:19 PM »

Due to an injury I have not been able to do much pressing but can do KB presses.

Anyone tried them?

How did they cross over to other lifts?

Anyone build big shoulders with them?

Just loved giryas (KB's), the best & simplest equipment + very effective !.

It is recovering for sure just slowly. I cannot bench press with a barbell it hurts. Feel it is rotator cuff so once that heals I will be happy.

Bench day is just Incline DB, some v v v light incline barbell (reintroduced this week) and cable crossovers.

What is "giryas" and what language?

Shoulders is just KB presses. I posted this video in my log will repost here.

Form and technique is shit but in time will certainly improve especially as I get stronger!

KB = ancient Girya in Russian & Giravik = person who use them ( KB's World Champ told me).
Russian use to publish "HERKULES" mag in 1900's , I would love to copy or 2 of that physical culture publication, anyone ??.
