This is what the society is coming down to. He has a house and it's not fair. He has a new car and it's not fair. His job pays well and he invests in the stocks through his 401K retirement and it's not fair.  That guy works manual labor at his construction laborer job all night for 12 hours and he has a pension, paid vacation, and future. I should have the same thing even though I don't work hard.  That guy went to college for 7 years to become a pharmacist and he makes over 100K why I'm I only making 20K being a pharmacist assistant.

The morale to the story if you want something in life you have to work for it. Don't expect someone to hand it to you even if you voted for Obama.

Kind of.  Yes, the dude needs to get off his butt.  But the expectation that just working hard will benefit the hard worker is nonsense.  It's more profitable to just screw the idiot worker unless he's uniquely desireable and simply throw another warm body into the blender to replace him.

Knuckling under, being a good loyal worker, etc, is a losing strategy.  The more someone crawls, the more they get exploited.  It used to pay dividends, 1950s-early 80s, but no more.  That's what society has come to.

Mercenary as fuck.  Everyday.

Working hard made sense in an age when retirement around 50 was the norm, but when you gotta make it to 70, working hard can be deadly. The stress and accumulative injuries will take it's toll.

Quite frankly working hard these days is fucking irresponsible.

You are never too old to finish school get a degree and a job if you want to, you choose to be a loser so shut the fuck up.
Yeah well in my case that may be true I have no other choice.

But for many getting in debt just to make a few dollars more is not worth it, and will be taking on worthless debt.

This isn't about me directly, there are many that will be trapped working mininum wage for a long time.

Lol considering my whole point is that my generation won't see a drop of retirement money I think your laughable.

Many people here got rather delusional ideas of what it takes to retirement without government support.

If you make 10 bucks an hour how much money can you actually put aside year to year.

how do you feel knowing that your grandmother can't retire because of disgusting parasites like you milking the Canadian system?

you're no better than some mouthwash swigging native sponging off the poor bastard taxpayers his whole life and complaining about everything he gets for free.

how about you go apply at mcdonalds and put your spazzing hand movements to use flipping burgers?

considering the source, I would disagree. co worker of mine works overtime just about every day he has off. Not too fun and not too mentally healthy in my opinion, however, after 10 yrs of busting his butt this way with little play time he has paid off his house, car and motorcyle and has aquired quite a nice 401K. Now when he hits 55 he'll be on that beach drinking foo foo drinks and enjoying the sun while those who just wanted to do the minimum and get by are still on the job.. I also know many self employed business owners who own nice houses and drive nice cars.. and most of them put in 60 to 70 hrs a week building their businesses so on down the road they can lay back and reap the rewards.

Having a plan, sticking to it and working hard pays off most of the time. But when you start by dropping out of school and getting no trade skills to speak of that you can market, I gotta ask, what the hell did you think would happen? Stop whinning and either get trained in the areas that are paying (even without an education) or plan on working till 70 like everyone else... hope this helps

And a friend of mine  worked 80 hours a week and died on the fucking job. If you wanna swap anecdotes go the fuck somewhere else.

Regardless, I doubt any of the folk you mentioned would get by in retirement without the SSI benefits either.

It's also entirely likely they haven't planned well for 20 years down the fucking road either.

The fact is it's exceptionally hard to plan for 30-40 years of possible retirement.

So unless your able to save half your fucking income for retirement don't giive me no bullshit.

would you restate your point? I can't figure out what you're trying to say. It seems like you are saying that even though you haven't done any groundwork to increase your worth in the market, you are surprised and dismayed that you will be forced to continue to work until you reach an age when the government will subsidize your expenses.  And in addition, have no intention of attempting to better your lot in life..

Your a fucking idiot, we all can't be winners. This isn't about me, I'm talking about society as a fucking whole.

If we all just work hard and do the right thing, things like property values go through the fucking roof, and were busting a balls to go in reverse. This is actually whats starting to happen.

If your too fucking stupid to get that there must be winners and losers in an economy your a fucking idiot.

There is no way the entire population can save for it's retirement.

I moved how you stupid fuck to save up money. It's a slow economy here so it takes a fuck ton longer to get a job here, than it does in a city.

Its winter in a small town, the only way I'm getting a job is if several people loose there jobs, as business here is beyond sluggish in the winter months.

Pull your head out of your ass, and think about the situation.

The economy adjusts, not everyone can be winners, if everyone can afford a home, the price inflates on housing until not everyone can this is how the economy works.

I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you.. if you want to console yourself by rationalizing that the reason you are where you are in life is because someone has to be a loser, we can't all be winners.. Turns out, there are enough people chomping at the bit to be those "losers", it makes room for the winners..

I'm 25 with no debt numnuts, and I'm in a position where I can save money, that is not the fucking norm. So fuck you if you think were talking about me.

Not to mention the strong possibility I goto school for free.

This self serving behavior is all cutsey and shit over the internet in the real world though it just makes you an  unevolved  idiot.

And sincerely, I'm sorry you live in a town where there is no chance to make it. I lived in one of those once but I moved away when I was 18 so I wouldn't be stuck working for peanuts with no chance for advancement and 401K's. Wish there was some advice I could give a guy who lives in a town where there is no opportunity... just can't think of any off the top of my head.

I'm in a way better position to save money come spring you dipshit, I have no rent to pay while living at home, and the bulk of my costs are a small fraction of what i'd pay in a city.

Immigrants with NOTHING come here and are able to buy homes and provide for themselves and their families....where you, born into the very lap of luxury in the wealthiest nation the planet as ever seen, bitch and complain and hope that Uncle Sam sends you a paltry SS check every month.

THINK OF THE SOLUTION, NOT THE PROBLEM.

Do you want a home?  A better job?  A retirement?  What is stopping you?  Why don't you think of ways to better your life rather than bitching and moaning and bitching and moaning and bitching and moaning on a bodybuilding site?

Got debt?  Do two menial jobs like swamping toilets or flipping burgers until you pay off a debt.  Obtain a school loan.  If you live in such a shitty town, why don't you FUCKING MOVE??!!  Texas has a booming economy, and North Dakota has a 3% unemployment rate.

Ah, fuck it.....why bother telling anyone this?  I hope you and people like yourself don't listen.  It's less competition for someone like me who  looks to constantly improve his situation.

This you?
