British Islamist: Muslims Should Humiliate Christians to Make them Convert

A British Islamist leader has outlined how an "Islamic State" should humiliate Christians to encourage them to convert to Islam. Abu Waleed, who follows the hard line Salafi branch of Sunni Islam, quotes from the hadith (Islamic writings outside the Koran) to demonstrate how Christians and Jews should be treated if they do not convert to Islam.In the sermon, posted online by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Waleed says that Islam is incompatible with the UN Declaration on Human Rights, as it cannot treat all people as equal.
He lists the humiliations that non-Muslims should undergo in an Islamic State, including being forced to walk on a narrower side of the street to Muslims – or in the middle of the road – shaving their foreheads, wearing a red belt around their necks, wearing odd shoes and handing over their clothes to a Muslim if he asks them to.
He adds that while Christians would still be able to have churches in an Islamic state, they would be forced to take in and shelter a Muslim for the night for whatever reason he wants. They will also be forbidden from ringing church bells.
Waleed uses the example of a Muslim sheltering in a church on Edgware Road, London, suggesting he has Britain in mind for his Islamic State.
He adds that these humiliations, even if they do not make non-Muslim men convert, will encourage their wives and children to do so, as they will be unable to face the shame of such a lifestyle.
