Shirley Patterson

Shirley Patterson is a piece of Powerlifting History.
She is the First Lady Powerlifter to compeat in a AAU men's competition and gave up the chance to compeat in the Olympics as a weightlifter by doing so. Because of her the AAU started a woman's powerlifting division.
This was the original promotion poster for the first AAU Woman's Powerlifting Contest. It didn't hurt that Shirley was a hot looking babe also. She trained with Zuver muscle plates and also now and then with the Original Westside Barbell Club guys who also trained at Zuver's when not at Bill (peanuts) West's garage Gym. She was last known to be the manager of the North Hollywood Health Club.
Any of you guys or gals out there that may have met her, knew her, trained with her or knows where she is now please let me know. I'm looking for more photos of her, for historic value of corse.
Thanks
RZ

This poster was a piece of lady's Powerlifting History and was a steel on a eBay auction recently. The original Poster will be on display along with The Original Zuverman and The Zuverman Golden Bust later this month in its new home in Pennsylvania.
The location soon to be released.
