I don't know nuthin' 'bout affirmative action and haven't benefited from it. It someone tried giving me extra money or a better job just for being black I'd take it. Everyone gets some kind of hookup for a reason like friends, family, or simply the boss feeling more comfortable because you look like they do. I think affirmative action is crap but it's been in place for the majority a long time.

awesome post..which is what whites fail to realize and will never own up to because it destroys their arguments....affirmative action has always been around in America..it was only for whites.....yet whites get upset that blacks are given a fair shot for the last 40 years or so

We had a good run but it's only a matter of time before the white man gets his turn.

We're still superior in every way imaginable, so enjoy it while it lasts.  Thankfully I'll be dead before anything horrible happens like having to hire white people to do my gardening.

The Billionaire Annenbergs... the single biggest annual contributors to the fund. It has helped to ease their conscience. I guess after centuries of buying & selling them, they felt it was time to help educate them.

Yeah, I guess I don't get it.  Been in Best Buy tons of times and nobody ever came up to offer me help.  On occasion someone will offer unsolicited help.

Does my white privilege only work during certain times of the day?

Can you see why this sounds absurd to me?

I was at Micro Center to buy a computer a few weeks ago and couldn't get any help for 20 minutes.  I just needed someone to retrieve the one I wanted from the back room.


I'm white though, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

LOL I have to agree but just so you know my post wasnt directed at blacks...

It was meant for all people, I do find it funny though that it was the blacks that responded....
