Haunted. About an authors' retreat; the book is mostly a collection of their short stories. They were supposed to make a movie of it, too. Not sure what ever became of it. My favorite Palahniuk book is Survivor, about a death cult survivor's rise to superstardom. Another one set for film that got scrapped after 9/11. The story involved a plane hijacking, so bad timing.
It is incredible how that actor Christian Bale is able to change his physique. Everything from ripped in American Psycho to perma bulker batman and to looking like a concentration camp survivor.
The Machinist is the movie where he looks like an anorexic teen girl. He said that to prepare he went from how buff he looked in American Psycho to that skeletal mass he was. His ENTIRE DAILY DIET WAS ONE SINGLE APPLE AND HE DID HOURS OF CARDIO DAILY!!
