They may be letting us desensitize the matter at hand simply by talking about it and letting us think we're free to do so. Like politics, the objective is to keep us divided and arguing with each other.

Considering that they are making shows about it on the History channel and what not, what there doing is letting it become part of our society so they can put labels on people who investigate it further. I've read that many really good computer hackers years ago now work with the Hierarchy instead of messing with them. I don't see why not the same type of thing wouldn't have happened with the conspiracy issues. Alex Jones may be leading the Hierarchy's effort to desensitize and divide.

Sometimes I wonder how bad it really was to live through such a place.  Don't get me wrong, I know that murdering and enslaving people is bad, but if the US ever got stomped in a war, and the winners went back and made a propaganda video about the US war machine, we could look just as scary as those old movies of Nazi Germany and their "war hungry" population.

I don't know the cause of this one, but these types of explosions happen in Texas all the time.  All over Texas and Houston, you hear about them in the local news every few weeks or months.  They usually aren't this big though.

I remember when i was really young, there was a tank explosion like 30 miles from my parent's house and you could still feel it.  It was like a bomb going off.  There are so many of these explosions in Houston because of all the oil/gas/chemical plants.  Texas has a shitload of plants like the one near Waco, they are everywhere.

Did you work near Texas City?

They have small explosions out there weekly.  It's pretty crazy.  I had family members at the BP plant when it blew up years ago.  It's a very common event.

Kind of my point. I think about if someone made a video of America and wanted to slant it in a negative light by showing clips of our war machine, we'd look pretty bad. I was watching one of the clips on history channel where the tanks are rolling for the crowds in the sportsplast, meanwhe we have these big ass air shows and the like. If someone wanted to, they could make us look bad. I don't however, think well ever be "defeated", but probably fade into something more like a Great Britain.

Actually, no I didn't.   I worked up north off the outer loop.  Pretty far from Texas City and probably why I never heard about them.  Also, I'm not a big TV/News kinda person.... carry on

let's be fair, china could kick our ass through sheer numbers alone. i don't buy into the american military superiority myth. if anything we're going the way of ww2 germany now, building massively expensive and overcomplicated technology that needs tons of resources and a massive supporting force just to even prove useful.
