remember that massive shootout on the news?  That heavy duty firepower that everyone recorded?

That wasn't the bad guys - they had like ONE handgun, didn't they?  lol...

i'm realizing that was probably all police firepower we heard on the news video that people recorded.

On the ammo purchases by DHS, my best guess is that they are getting ready for Iran's response if we attack them.

But isn't DHS only for national (internal) security.

Yup, exactly.  There is the potential for attacks in America when we attack Iran.  I could be wrong but I suspect they could very well have "cells" here in America waiting for this moment.  They indicated it years ago and with their money and our open borders, I wouldn't doubt it.

I have a hunch that Iran will not go down quite the same way we saw Saddam and Iraq fall.  I think they've been prepping for this and I think we're preparing for that.

If that's not the reason for DHS's massive buildup, we have worse to worry about.

Inhofe, Lucas Introduce Bill Limiting Federal Agencies From Stockpiling Ammunition

Friday, April 26, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Congressman Frank Lucas (R-OK-3) today introduced in their respective chambers the Ammunition Management for More Obtainability (AMMO) Act of 2013. The legislation would require the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a report on the purchasing of ammunition by federal agencies, except the Department of Defense, and its effect on the supply of ammunition available to the public. The AMMO Act would restrict agencies from obtaining additional ammunition for a six-month period if current agency stockpiles are higher than its monthly averages prior to the Obama Administration.

"President Obama has been adamant about curbing law-abiding Americans’ access and opportunities to exercise their Second Amendment rights," said Inhofe. "One way the Obama Administration is able to do this is by limiting what’s available in the market with federal agencies purchasing unnecessary stockpiles of ammunition. As the public learned in a House committee hearing this week, the Department of Homeland Security has two years worth of ammo on hand and allots nearly 1,000 more rounds of ammunition for DHS officers than is used on average by our Army officers. The AMMO Act of 2013 will enforce transparency and accountability of federal agencies’ ammunition supply while also protecting law-abiding citizens access to these resources.”

“After hearing from my constituents about the shortage of ammunition in Oklahoma and the Department of Homeland Security’s profligate purchases of ammunition,” said Lucas. “We have introduced the AMMO Act of 2013 to curtail these purchases so Americans can exercise their Second Amendment rights without being encumbered by the federal government. I was surprised to find out the DHS has the right to buy up to 750 million rounds of ammunition over the next five years, while it already has two years worth of ammo already. This is an issue that must be addressed, and I am pleased this legislation provides us the opportunity to do so.”

Civil unrest when the economy collapses.  The major cities will tear themselves apart.  If people will riot after sporting events, just imagine what they will do when they get really desperate.  It will be ugly.

GOP aims to slow federal bullet buys
By Jordy Yager - 04/27/13 01:00 PM ET

Republicans want to limit the number of bullets federal agencies can purchase so American gun owners can buy more.

Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe and Rep. Frank Lucas have introduced a bill that would prohibit every government agency — except the military — from buying more ammunition each month, than the monthly average it purchased from 2001 to 2009.

If that's the case don't think you're not next lol  You've already made that error once at least.

I need that to not be the case.  I want my kid to be raised in a country that resembles the one I once grew up in, America.

Our LE don't need massive supplies of bullets to quell civil unrest in Canada.
Canadians are so damned passive, our PM could buttfvck them, and Canadians would turn around and apologize

I know what you mean. I wonder what kind of world my little newborn grand-daughter is going to grow up in.

The little pudgey chunkball is only 4 months old.

And here she is all fastened up in her car seat.

Of course, these days she rarely goes anywhere without her shades.  :D

It feels like just yesterday that my daughter from another Mother was telling me she was preggars.
I can't believe the baby is already here, ...and starting to cut her first teeth.

LOL. It's not that great a mystery. A couple of girls I know adopted me as their Mom 'cause I would constantly be freaking out over the adventurous hijinks they would constantly be getting themselves into, and on occasion would give them sisterly advice. From my point-of-view it was more like big sisterly advice, but they saw it as motherly advice.

My heart would race a mile a minute over the stuff they'd be doing... then I'd have to step back, take a deep breath, and remember the stuff I did at 21 & 23, and try to calm myself down knowing I'd been there, done that, got the T-shirt and lived to tell about it, ...and they are 10'x as street smart as I was at their age, ...but I'd still be a nervous wreck for them. They'd always be laughing at me ...one girl in particular when I'd say stuff like "Why do I even worry about you. You've got such a good head on your shoulders. why do I even worry?" Apparently it's the same thing her Mom always says to her too, ...and in so many ways, I remind her of her Mom. After a while, whenever they saw me, they would greet me with a big hug saying "Hi Mom". They both just started calling me Mom as a term of endearment. So that's how they became my daughters from another mother.

So now that this daughter has adjusted to motherhood quite nicely, ...I now only have to worry about the 21 yr old now. That one doesn't have quite as sensible a head on her shoulders as the 23 yr old does. She's a total wild child!  :o
