Moderate weight med-high reps are actually beneficial. Strengthening muscle, thickening bones, and improving overall shape and nutrient partitioning/ insulin sensitivity.

Powerlifting is simply fucking retarded. NO benefit.

I have done RTG scan of my spine. My back is fine. Squatting 180kg right now @ 75kg BW.

How it's gonna be after 20 years? I do not know but one thing I know for sure - it's not gonna break out of a sudden. As long as my RTG is OK I'm gtg.

Why do I lift heavy weights? Because I fucking like it. You americans fall into the trap of "what others think about me". "Nobody cares about weights" - why do I care what they care about?

I write fucking software. Do you know how dull that can be? Do you know how much back pain my friends get after 20 years of sitting on a chair writing your precious fucking software for your shiny white iShit? So after work I go to the gym and lift weights. I do that just for the love of it.

Oh and yes my friend, I know I should get lean, stay natural, find woman, spray mu cum all over her so I get her pregnant 1000 times and work in factory like a good christian. To fuck with that bullshit, OK? This is bullshit, your religion is bullshit, your values are bullshit, your whole life is based on bullshit and you know that. That's why you're so fucking miserable and negative.

Looking good is a matter of staying lean. Yes I'm not as lean as I could be but I'm lazy fuck when it comes to diet. I stay lean so my bodyweight is smaller, I feel better and look better. It's not single digits lean but it's fair enough, at least for me, at least for now.

Just do what you enjoy. Whatever you're doing if you're doing it because of others then you're truly lost and you should rethink your life. Peace.

I respect anyone who achieves something in anything, whether it's chess, math, powerlifting, weightlifting, bodybuilding or how much can you masturbate per day.

And I believe if someone is doing something he likes then no matter his performance or what others think about it, as long as no harm is done to anyone he has my support to do whatever he wants. Criticising people because they do something different than you is fucking lame and childish.

Abadjiev's system was two session per day but not 14 hours a day, and back in the day 80-90's they were making lots of money most of them under the table but anyway.all around that was the situation in the communist year and little bit after.
After Abadjiev yes, less training ,no money at all and most of the lifters compete for different countries now.
But i have to agree that there is no money in sport, but there is no money in any sport around here so ..

using a hook grip requires no strength whatsoever basically, the thumbs act as straps literally


thats why olympic lifters have shit grip strength compared to strongmen

see mikhael koklyaev, his grip strength has regressed tremendously since focusing heavily on olympic lifts again lately


hundreds of anecdotes on this

etc


NOT impressive to use a hook grip, not at all, quite the opposite in fact
