I don't know how old the kids were, but I'm pretty sure my kids don't have any real understanding of racism yet.  I can imagine one of them making that patch in school and using the black/gold coloring BECAUSE racism isn't even a concept to them (while I would have immediately thought "dat's racist" and picked a different color).


Oh well...looks like another post-racism child has been taught that they're not allowed to leave race as a non-issue.
