Yeah, that's normally been my experience. The military also has frocking which would be something similar wherein you may refer to somebody, for example, as General, and they wear the star, but they are not 'technically' a General yet.

I'm not sure I'm defending him, I was just noting some typical protocol that I'm familiar with.

I'm not Repub and really don't know enough about Rubio to have an opinion one way or the other. Typically, I don't care much for staunch Republicans - which the more I learn about Cruz, the less I'm liking.

I'm not a Republican either, but I really liked Rubio before all this amnesty talk. I haven't written him off, but it's definitely a turnoff.
