Also, foreign policy ain't great, but WWIII is a disaster.  What we are seeing today is business as usual for the last 40 years dude.

Would someone really need a crystal ball or intelligence to be right at guessing a politician was corrupt?

I told you all something was wrong before the primaries, LOL! When I told friends something was off they all thought it was cynicism, being conservative, or just breaking balls. Without a doubt, he and I have very different ideas about exercise of my freedoms and the direction America should go in. My amusement with 333's jihad stems from the fact that he never once posted anything substantive to back up the initial paranoia.

Another part of the problem is people aren't honest with themselves about the extent to which the President's race affects their perception on some issues. That's very different than actually being racist, but not for political means. I'm hopeful, though: In 20, 30, 40, or 50 years the conditions may actually exist for us to consider thinking about discussing race. :)

It was patently obvious he was going to be President the moment McCain/Palin was announced. We all knew they never had a chance, LOL! That week I was teasing some black members (through PM) here about how bad it was going to be for white people to see him as President. It would have been great if I was wrong about that one, too. :)

You don't need a crystal ball, but 33 was out in front of most people about this guy.  He has actually posted a lot of facts to back up the allegations of corruption and incompetence.

I don't agree about the race stuff.  We elected an unqualified half black man president.  Then we reelected an unqualified half black man with a horrible record.  And then if you look at how the media coddled him, and the percentage of the white vote overall that he got in this country, I think the race issue is out the window.

I talk to a lot of people about politics and about the president and race is not a factor.  I know that's anecdotal, but I think my experience is probably consistent with what happens across the country.  Yes there are bigots out there, but racism isn't the reason people don't like the man.  He's just a lousy president.

If people can spend a few million dollars digging and only find parking tickets and cigarette smoking: The bodies are buried very deep or you're dealing with someone weird. The whole perspective that we're exercising our freedoms too selfishly is pretty common among liberals and doesn't make him special or unique in any way.

Race is a part of people's perspective but that doesn't mean everyone is racist/bigoted. He's more hated than Clinton, LOL!

In the bigger picture, it's not really going to matter much. We're screwed for a while and there's no getting around that.

It wasnt only parking tickets and smoking!!!!

See - that is what is so maddening about people who didnt see this train wreck for what it was from Day 1.  Obama has ALWAYS been a radical community agitator who combines radicalism, incompetence, laziness, and delusions of greatness making him into the disaster I knew he would be from Day 1.

Yeah - starting your career in politics in the living room of Bill Ayeres is no big deal.   ::)  ::)  ::)

It was much more than cigarette smoking.  You should read more about his background.  Or watch 2016:  Obama's America.

He's not more hated than Clinton.  Republicans were frothing at the mouth over Clinton.  I'm sure I probably posted this on here somewhere, but someone wrote an article actually accusing Clinton of being the Antichrist.  They accused Clinton of murdering political opponents.  People are all over Obama now, but it's based on his record, not some allegation that he was killing people.  Not really much of a comparison IMO.

I agree we are screwed.

Whatever - Obama has always been best at fooling people at just how radical he is underneath the fluff, the flowery bs, the racial guilt he heaps on people, etc.

It still works with the drooling general public

Oh, please, go ahead and tell us how 3333 was wrong about Obama being an unqualified community organizer who has been an unmitigated disaster.

No? He hasn't been a failure? Please do tell how anything he has done will have a lasting positive effect on the country. This ought to be good.

That is the problem with obama voters - they cant bring themselves to admit how bad they were conned and suckered by this radical freak show.

#17 on being wrong on me voting for Obama.

Like I've said before, I lost all hope in america when Bush Jr got re-elected. No surprise from that point on. What I find really really ridiculously cute  is how people like you still exist that think it matters who is in the oval office.  ::)

It does matter.  You being on the public payroll dont understand this the way those of us who are employed in the private sector do.

Go try to generate your own paycheck every week, week after week, in the private sector and you would sing a completely different tune.

Don't understand why most people on this forum hate on government work. In my area of the US (north-east) it's a good way to go unless you are an Alpha earning high six-figures or even seven figures. With the international economy and continuing consolidation of wealth in this country, the only people who are going to benefit in the private sector are the Alphas. Betas, which are most people, are better off finding, if they can, good government jobs with benefits.

I never understand why a guy in my area making $150 - $250K working 60+ hours a week in the private sector with no pension or decent benefits hates on a cop or teacher making $100K+ with benefits. The private sector dope has a lot more in common with the cop/teacher than the Alphas who are running the company he's working for, or moving money around in some hedge fund, and making multiple seven-figures.

The Alphas also don't get caught up in this ideological political BS. They spead their money around to politicians of both parties and make sure their interests are protected. It's kind of laughable how heated some of you guys get about this stuff. The guys at Goldman and similar places who actually run things? They just worry about keeping the money flowing up to them. They don't worry about all these meaninglesss BS issues. They're out in the Hamptons in their multi-million dollar houses hosting the politicians u think actually buy in to this ideological BS.

because most of them are lazy, overpaid slobs that don't deserve anywhere near 100k+ with benefits. maybe if you're swat or something, ok. but a government teacher? gtfo here. if anything they should be making negative money for all the young minds they're corrupting with their bullshit.

I'm not defending Obama. My position is it doesn't matter who is in the oval office. Politicians are politicains. Bush Jr was no better. Having said that, my house is worth more than it was in 2008 and my retirement account is looking pretty good. Folks I know who were out of work are back at work. Would have likely happened if Donald Duck was elected but I can't ignore it
