According to Charles Neal’s Tape Delay, seven hertz is the frequency that is most dangerous to human life with effects including prolapse, internal organ damage, disorientation, vomiting, nausea, and even death. Apparently, the first man to generate the sound was killed in the process. 7-Hurtz, a collaboration between UK DJs Lascelles Gordon and Ben Cowan, was inspired by this knowledge. The former was a co-founder of the UK acid jazz band Brand New Heavies, has drummed for Sandals, Beth Orton and Campag Velocet, and previously ran a club night, ‘Helter Stupid’. Cowan, meanwhile, has previously been a dancer with contemporary outfits Ricochet and Bedlam and a member of the LoWilliams Band. Sharing their mutual love of Jean Jacques Perry, John Carpenter soundtracks and electro, the duo create sparse, pulsing music that splices early 80s electro with more contemporary deep ‘n’ dark breaks. The pair’s music was deliberately conceived to circumvent the music that they had previously created. 7-Hurtz has notably collaborated with Peaches and Bitch Lap Lap, contributing a cover of Prince’s ‘Sexy Dancer’ to the compilation, If I Was Prince. The duo’s Audiophiliac and Electroleum, were released via Output, the label formed by graphic designer and producer/musician Trevor Jackson.

Ye, it's a shame really.
Cause he doesn't think he's good enough and finds all these excuses not to take it to the next level and try to push for live performances etc.
I get that he's a perfectionist and wants to leave a good impression, but it inhibits his progress in becoming a 'known' artist if that's his goal anyways.

Being a good artist in a studio and on stage are 2 different things of course. It's prob best to start on small events/private parties.

That's what I meant, he doesn't feel ready for any such things. He's currently 'just' a producer, who believes he can't dj. Personally I am of the opinion dj's are vastly overrated and the mere fact he produces is an indicator of his talent. He's currently in Finland though, and he's told me 'the scene' isn't particularly huge there, so that doesn't exactly help either.

Hopefully he'll catch a break sometime.

The Kills are an indie rock band formed by American singer Alison Mosshart ("VV") and British guitarist Jamie Hince ("Hotel"). Their first three albums, Keep On Your Mean Side, No Wow, and Midnight Boom, have garnered critical praise. Blood Pressures, their fourth and most recent studio album, was released on April 4, 2011, worldwide and April 5, 2011, in the United States.

I took a look on their page, but I'm not really a fan of typical mainstream club artists. I also prefer more variety, like the artists featured on Somafm's multiple channels, see www.somafm.com
