Since I moved back to Greenville, I've been going to the laundromat spending about 20 bucks a week on clothes.  It gets a little expensive after awhile so I decided to buy a washer and dryer.  The least expensive set I could find was this Amana brand with practically no features.  With cords, dryer vent, delivery, disposal fees and taxes it came up to 900 bucks and delivery in a week??  Come on son

I don't think so.  I'm not some sucka MC who's going to spend that kind of money .   Here's how Vince Goodrum does business.  Went to a little known spot on the ghetto side outskirts of Greenville that a friend told me about.  No fancy signs or sales papers or any of that shit.

How broke are you to not be able to buy a fucking washer?  you're embarrassing yourself with posts like this 

In his mind, Melvin Goodrum is not bragging or revealing how broke he is. he actually thinks that people will now think he's a frugal business tycoon that won't pay too much for anything.

It's the same reasoning why he'd take a pic like this & think he looks good enough to post it online.

At least Vince is honest and not the typical Getbigger who brags about how rich they are....like posting pictures of expensive watches, BMW's and the like. Three cheers to Vince. He's not afraid to be an individual and go against the crowd. Believe me, he is probably chuckling at many of our responses. Vince is not alone in his thoughts. Lots of people enjoy being conservative. Tiny houses with no mortgages are all the rage lately as is going "off the grid".

I've given him some flack from time to time, but only because I know he can take it.

Relatively, we've only had a few Getbiggers who bragged with certain luxury possessions (or Googled pictures), like Joon and a couple of others.

Time will tell. In the meantime, the resolution and features on newer flat screen TV's are far and above any of those on a TV as old as yours is.

When I recently replaced my 2004 Mazda, it was partly because the new car is loaded with features not available in cars that old. With almost 150,000 miles on it, it still ran perfectly as if new. There are many reasons to upgrade to newer products than how long it will last. Most vehicles in the 1950's didn't hold up for anywhere near 150,000 miles and they required a lot more maintenance, fuel and oil.

If you saved 5 cents an hour, 20 hours a week for 15 years then you would have about 28k dollars in the bank.  Think about that for a minute.

.05/hour X 20 hours/week = 1 dollar/week

52 weeks X 1 dollar = 52 dollars/year

52 dollars X 15 years = 780 dollars
