Furthermore, one of the fundamental rules of posting here is: No racist language.
However, this rule seems to be overlooked by the mods most of the time.
Not sure why GB has any rules if they are not going to be 'consistently' enforced.

I feel you have a point and then you throw it away by making an absurd overreach.
It is true that the rules might say no racist language, but a lot does persist.
But that is not the logic required to suggest we might as well have no rules.
The rule is actually quite clear to me - I know I've been here for a while, so I cannot say it is obvious but here is the absolute true rule.
If you are a particularly successful, eloquent or venomous racist, you will eventually find oblivion.The legendary sir dan was a good example of this. Very amusing, very eloquent and particularly successful at getting under people's skin, regarding this issue.
Racism, for me, should be played out a little. Completely banning it just makes people ignorant of it. You cannot convince someone that racism is "wrong" by simply saying "you must not be racist". That might work for people who don't think for themselves, but it won't discourage anybody who considers themselves to have their own mind, capable of considering whether something is negative.
