"I remember the day Kobe broke his leg after the tendon injury... that was it..."

Someday, we'll be the fat old dudes telling our grandkids (watching some watered down shit version of the NBA) about when MJ and Kobe ruled.  They'll laugh at skinny lanky MJ & KB... by then, the GH generation of basketball players will be insane.  An entire league of lebron-caliber players.

Lakers Coach Mike D'Antoni appears to have abandoned his quest of having the Lakers run a speedy offense.

Lakers Coach Mike D'Antoni appears to have abandoned his quest of the NBA Finals Trophy

About the only thing the Lakers achieved in seven seconds or less last season was making their coach regret saying his team should "easily" average 110-115 points per game when he took the job.

"Yeah, well, I was on drugs back then," Mike D'Antoni said Monday with a chuckle, referring to the pain medication he was taking while recovering from knee surgery. "A LOT of drugs. My knee was hurting. Vicodin was killing me."

Check the kinetic chain. It has everything to do with his achilles tear earlier this year. You heard it here first.

they were talking on PTI today... about the % of weight and force that is moved following an injury like his achilles.  One part of that leg will now have to carry more of the workload, thus causing the injury.

In derrick rose's case, the other leg did more of the work, thus the injury.

Same thing with Willis Reed! Always hopping on the good leg, and it winds up having to bear all of the (body) weight... then bam... the good knee gives out due to the uber stress...

Absolutely. Compensation is HUGE. Sounds like they released Kobe based on the strenght integrity of the surgery and not the asymmetry the injury caused. He was released too soon.

I did. I know how this works. It happened to me. I blew out left knee. I started using my right knee 150%... then it gave out too... fucking sucks...

Thank you, Coach! I only knew from personal experience. I saw it happening to Rose. I saw it happening to Kobe. This will happen to them again too. They are done.

Show some respect for the integrity and history of the G&O and quit cramming Lakers and Yankee threads down our throats.

And I say that with all due respect, Steve.

 Roger that, Poly.

In regards to this though... it is BB related... it is anatomy and injury related... and can help a lot of us...

I agree. He should call it quits. He's a first round HOF'er.
