seems that style of killing is more important than actual killing

It's only relevant when resources are at stake, why do you think we haven't done anything about Darfur or the other countries where genocide is taking place this very day? They don't have anything the west wants, so let them rot.

Syria has resources, resources that Russia and China have a stake in.  England wants control of those resources so they ask big brother to lend a hand, that's all that this is about.  Chemical weapons are just a mask, otherwise we would have done something when the 100,000+ people were killed up to this point.

I agree with you but I do not know what resorces the UK  or anybody else (apart from Russia and its mediteranian base. Perhaps someone will enlighten me
Even before the end of the WW1 the British & French were carving up the Ottomen Empire with Britain having an eye on Oil - not sure what the French were at - perhaps a greater mediteranian front?

The doctor is a Syrian-American, he said that killing doctors by the Assad regime, means that the rebels cannot get medical treatment...so, it makes perfect sense...and then one can stretch that to gassing one's own people, didn't Saddam gas the Kurds? they don't care if they are winning, gas or no gas.

That whole region is damn is a mess, one regime could be worse than the other...
But, what is ironic is, how Russia and China didn't want to intervene and blocked any intervention and now look at the clusterfuck that is happening now.

Saddam not only murdered Kurds under our noses they also used US intelligence to gas Iran.  As I have mentioned before the US government is the most duplicitous it has ever been as evidenced by one scandal after another. Before any action is taken the president should address congress and the American people.  The aforementioned has been on ignore since this president took office along with the Constitution.

Their empire was limping along at that point anyway, shit, Hungary was ruled by the Hapsburg monarch but was operating on its own, not to mention all the other nationalist movements in the empire. They jumped off because they figured it would be the best way to unite the people again. Similar to another country I know.  ;D

of course with massive debt, mass state snooping and survelance, serial addiction to invading other countries, shrinking manufacturing base.. but still going strong
