I couldn't be further opposed to you in the taste dept tho. I like cottagey stuff. Distressed woods, wrought & cast iron, blackened bronze, coarsely finished lime plasters, friendly, inviting color and lighting, and [generally] sober women who you'd prefer to stay, or who are capable of just fucking off under their own steam. When I walk into a room I want to let out an Ah! of delight & relief. If I walked into yours I'd expect to find Gordon Gecko plotting against his enemies while smashing veal.
j/k man.
It's very cool & flash. And at least you actually have yours. I have none of the damn things I listed above, which is sad because my taste is so much better than yours.
You and my mom would get along well then.
Not just because she would use the strap on to pound you silly. (LOL!!) I grew up around my parents tastes and style. Open country style. Pots hanging over the center island butcher block / prep island, tile back splash, heavy oaks and mahogony woods and pines, farmer style lip sinks big enough to bath the family dog in, etc...
I had enough of that. And I don't care for that typical tropical/blondes/palms/beige/pastel blues and greens of the South Florida area. I go for a crisp clean look, modern style, in semi-minimalist form with a touch of oriental/asian flair tossed in.
